Ways to de-stress

All of us have stressed out at some point over our lives, whether it was over schoolwork, friends, a competition or anything else. I get stressed out without realising it. I may be doing some schoolwork or trying to complete something that has to be done in a certain time frame and I will be stressing out without even knowing I am. So here are some of the ways(once a realize that I am stressing out) that I do to calm down and and de-stress.
Listen to some SOFT music. I love listening to music as a way to de-stress but try to make sure its calming and not getting you more hyped up.
Adult Coloring In Book. I love this way to de-stress. Almost 2 years ago there was a craze that was"adult coloring" where its a coloring in book but with pretty patterns or whatever. I have one of these books, bust it probably isn't the most calming book you can think of. I have a Star Wars Coloring In Book! I absolutely love it and I usually just sit down on my bed and do some coloring in of princess leia, yoda, jabba the hut or darth vader and listen to soft music in the background and that usually helps to calm me down.
Have a sleep. It depends what time of day it is but if I am really stressing and most of the time I am pretty tired too, I usually find it helpful to go and have a sleep. It's usually just for a hour or so but when I wake up I always feel way more refreshed. If I need a sleep it is usually sometime just after lunch in the early afternoon that I do it.
Do your hair. I love Braiding my hair, or even straightening it and I find that a relaxing way to calm down and just de-stress.
Write something. Whether its in a daily journal, planning out your week or writing down positive quotes somewhere to remind you every time you see them.
Read a book. Take time to sit down and read a book, whether its one of you favorite books or a new book, and you could even go down to the local library and see what books they have there that you might be able to borrow out.
Watch a Movie/TV Show. Pick a Movie to watch, or maybe you could have a TV Show marathon, make sure to have snacks handy!
Go for a Walk/Run. I suggest going for a walk or run, whether its just up to the end of your street or maybe around the block, just to get some fresh air and exercise in!
Bake something. I LOVE baking food, whether its a Chocolate Cake or some Choc Chip Cookies, I absolutely love it! If you are going to bake something, I would bake something really easy or something that you know isn't going to be really hard otherwise that might stress you out even more!
Take a Bath. I find what really helps if you want to de-stress is take a nice long bath(if you have a bath bomb I would use that!) and just relax and maybe read a book and I like too have some soft music playing in the background.
